The big news this week is that I'm FINALLY graduating with my Master's Degree in Counseling on Saturday. Hopefully we'll be back in our own house again before then.
Z is zealously working on finishing the floors in the bedrooms and the hallway. We found beautiful hardwood floors underneath the carpet, but they needed to be refinished, so he pulled them all up 2 weeks ago, intending to be able to lay them back down quickly - only to find that some of the sub-flooring had rotted and needed to be replaced. So it's taking longer than we thought it would. Pictures of the finished product will be posted at a later date.
A is no longer involved in the ISD's Early On program - she has caught up to where she should be developmentally, but still needs braces to help keep her feet aligned correctly. She recently learned how to say "No" and unfortunately is not only using it correctly in a cute way, but also using it defiantly. It's going to get old really quickly. Any ideas as to how to teach her to use it correctly but not in defiance would be greatly appreciated.
M is quickly nearing her 4th month. She is my miracle baby. At her 3 month appointment, she weighed 11 pounds and was 22 3/4 inches long. They have stopped measuring her against preemie standards since she was only 1 1/4 pounds lighter than a "normal" 3 month old! I can't believe how quickly she us growing. We dedicated her in church on Sunday. Officer Gillespie - the officer how delivered her when she decided to come 6 1/2 weeks early at home stopped in to say hi before the service - he couldn't stay since he was on duty. While it's a little weird to go to church with him, especially for Z, it's also pretty cool that she gets to grow up with someone else who has a "vested interest" in her.
